What reaches the inbox
Three types of interaction: comments on your posts, mentions of your account and reviews of your Google listing. Today it covers these networks:
| Network | What arrives | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Comments on your posts and mentions of your account | Reply to comments, hide or delete comments on your posts. Mentions can only be replied to from the Instagram app. | |
| Facebook (page) | Comments and mentions | Reply, like, hide or delete comments on your posts |
| TikTok | Comments on your ten most recent videos | Reply, like, hide or show again |
| Google Business Profile | Reviews of your listing | Reply (a single owner reply, editable), filter, leave notes for the team, receive alerts and add the review to your social proof: Google reviews in ōrbita |
| LinkedIn (profile and page) | Comments on posts published from ōrbita | Reply and react. Available for the pilot companies while LinkedIn reviews the access request; for the rest it arrives once approved. |
The inbox has three tabs (Unread, All, Archived), filters by network, type and owner, and a search by name or username. Only the networks connected in that company appear; the Connect more networks link in the filter goes to Company settings > Connections.
What you can do with each one
- Reply from the app; the reply is published on the network.
- React or like, depending on what each network allows.
- Assign to a team member as owner (Star plan). If you do not assign anyone, it counts as the company owner’s.
- Mark as read, archive and take out of the archive. Opening an interaction marks it as read.
- Hide or delete a comment on your own posts, where the network allows it.
- Add to reviews: a Google review goes with one click into the company’s social proof.
- Use saved replies: texts your team reuses when replying on any network. You manage them from the Saved replies button in the header, with their history and their comments; the step by step is in Saved replies. Your agent can also look them up, create them and comment on them through MCP.
When you open an interaction you see the original post it replies to and, if it was published from ōrbita, the proposal it came from.
How it updates
Interactions are read from each network when you open the inbox and when you tap refresh. There is no continuous reading in the background. ōrbita keeps the management status (read, archived, assigned, replied) permanently; the text of the comments is kept in a temporary cache, different for each network, according to what each platform allows. The detail is in the privacy policy.
TikTok: a separate permission
When you connect TikTok, after the usual publishing screen, TikTok shows a second screen for comments. If you accept it, the line under TikTok in Company settings > Connections says “Comments connected as @your_account”. You can decline it and carry on publishing as normal, or grant or withdraw that permission later from that same screen.
Notice
If an action is not available on a network (because of the page’s permissions or the network itself), the app explains it at that moment. Private messages do not reach the inbox.
Who it is for
Included in all plans, for all the companies of the account (assigning interactions to an owner is on the Star plan), on the web version and in the mobile apps (from 2.5.0). TikTok comments in the mobile apps arrive with the next update.
