Checked on their official pages: Hootsuite on 4 November 2026.

Where Hootsuite is better

  • Its inbox gathers messages and comments from 8 networks, including X, Threads, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. ōrbita's covers 4 and does not include private messages.
  • It has social listening. ōrbita does not.
  • It exports analytics to PDF, PPT, CSV and Excel and compares them with competitors. ōrbita has no PDF reports or competitor analysis.
  • It allows custom permissions per organization, team and account. ōrbita has three fixed levels (Admin, Editor and Viewer), on Star.
  • It connects 9 networks, including X, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky. ōrbita publishes to 6.

Where ōrbita is better

  • The AI knows each company: ōrbita fills in its memory by reading its website (communication plan, tone, catalog, frequently asked questions, dates and reviews) and your team edits it. Hootsuite has no company memory: Wisdom sets the brand voice per profile and its Knowledge center serves the support chatbot, not content writing.
  • It works on its own: every month it proposes 8 posts per company from that memory, without anyone asking, with the why and the copy for each network (Star plan). Hootsuite's AI writes when you ask it to.
  • It writes each company's communication plan, the client sees it through a link with no account, and reviews and approves proposals at no cost (Star plan). In Hootsuite there is no written plan and whoever approves needs a seat.
  • On any plan, Satellite included, you connect your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT or another compatible one) to your companies over MCP; with Star, ōrbita also fills in each company's memory (strategy, catalog, questions, social proof and dates) and your AI works on top of it. Hootsuite also has an MCP connector, but without a company memory behind it.
  • Your agent manages saved replies over MCP, with the same permissions as you: it reads and uses them, and also creates them, edits them, deletes them and comments on them. According to its page, Hootsuite's MCP connector only reads and uses them.

Choose Hootsuite if

  • Your team needs social listening and to compare analytics with competitors.
  • You reply to private messages, WhatsApp and X included, from a single inbox.
  • You need custom permissions and to export reports to PDF or PPT.
  • Your budget allows paying per user from 99 USD a month.

Choose ōrbita if

  • You need each month's strategy and content written from what is known about each company, not just the tool to publish them (Star plan).
  • You want the AI, ōrbita's or your own over MCP, to work with what it already knows about each company.
  • You want your client to review and approve without taking up a seat (Star plan).
  • You run an agency and want the knowledge of each client not to depend on who handles them: it stays in your agency's account and whoever steps in picks up with the same memory.

Pricing and billing model

Hootsuite charges per user: every person who joins pays for a seat; in ōrbita the price is per company and, on Star, as many people as you need can join at no per-user cost.

Hootsuite

  • Per user (seat); Standard includes up to 10 social accounts, Professional and above, unlimited.
  • Standard: 99 USD a month per user billed annually.
  • Every person pays for a seat. Their FAQ quotes 199 USD for Professional and 399 USD for Advanced.
  • No free plan; a 14-day trial with no card.

ōrbita

  • Per company you manage: each company has its own plan, with all its networks, no commitment.
  • Satellite: €4 a month per company, or €3.33 a month billed annually, taxes not included.
  • Star: €15 a month per company, or €12.50 a month billed annually, taxes not included.
  • Galaxy: coming soon.
  • No free plan; a trial of 14 days with no card. Taxes not included.

What ōrbita does not do today

  • It does not create images or video: it writes the texts, the scripts and the prompts for your favorite image generator, and you can bring in your own material from Canva and Google Drive
  • It does not publish to X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky or LinkedIn company pages
  • It has no inbox for private messages (it does have one for comments, mentions and reviews), no social listening and no competitor analysis
  • It has no PDF reports and no white label
  • It has no public API (it does have an MCP connector so your own agent can work with your companies)
  • It does not yet have one shared database that feeds several locations at once: each company runs on its own data
