Scheduling posts means getting a piece of content ready so a tool publishes it on a social network at the date and time you choose, using the official permissions the network grants that tool.
How it works
- You connect the network account to the tool with a login from the network itself (OAuth). The network grants specific permissions that expire.
- You prepare the post in the format each network requires (image ratios, video length, character limit).
- At the set time, the tool calls the network’s official API and publishes.
Limits the networks set
- Instagram only allows publishing on professional accounts linked to a Facebook Page; Facebook, only on Pages.
- LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile require each tool to pass a review before it can publish for third parties.
- Permissions expire and you have to reconnect every so often.
- What is published cannot be edited from outside: you fix it on the network.
