TikTok metrics: your followers and the result of each video

TikTok now has its own tab in Metrics: followers, accumulated likes and number of videos of the account, and views, likes, comments and shares of each video. If you already had TikTok connected, disconnect it and connect it again to accept the new permissions.

What changes

TikTok has approved ōrbita’s access to its statistics, and from today Metrics has a TikTok tab for every company that has it connected.

For the account you will see the followers, the accumulated likes and the number of videos. For each video, its views, likes, comments and shares, in the same list of the period’s posts that you already use with the other networks. The account’s total views do not appear because TikTok does not provide them.

As with the other networks, ōrbita reads TikTok once a day and keeps the history. If you want the data right now, press Refresh.

If you already had TikTok connected

TikTok asks for two new permissions to read these figures, and only grants them when you authorize the connection again. That is why, if you connected TikTok before today, the tab will show you a notice instead of the data:

  1. Go to Connections.
  2. Disconnect TikTok and connect it again, accepting all the permissions.
  3. Go back to Metrics and press Refresh.

Do it all in one go: when you disconnect, ōrbita cancels what you have scheduled on TikTok and recovers it when you reconnect, as long as its date has not passed. If you use TikTok comments in Interactions, the same window will ask you for that permission too.

New connections already ask for the permissions from the start.
